Existence of global attractor for the Trojan Y Chromosome model
This paper is concerned with the long time behavior of solution for the equation derived by the Trojan Y Chromosome (TYC) model with spatial spread. Based on the regularity estimates for the semigroups and the classical existence theorem of global attractors, we prove that this equations possesses a global attractor in H (Ω) (k ≥ 0) space.
متن کاملCompensatory changes in [125I]-PYY binding in Y receptor knockout mice suggest the potential existence of further Y receptor(s).
Gene knockout approaches have helped to better understand the functions of the different Y receptors. However, some results obtained from these knockout mice are unexpected and differ from the results of pharmacological intervention experiments. One possible explanation for this is that germ-line gene deletion of a particular Y receptor can influence expression and function of the remaining Y r...
متن کاملConnections between C(X) and C(Y), where Y is a subspace of X
In this paper, we introduce a method by which we can find a close connection between the set of prime $z$-ideals of $C(X)$ and the same of $C(Y)$, for some special subset $Y$ of $X$. For instance, if $Y=Coz(f)$ for some $fin C(X)$, then there exists a one-to-one correspondence between the set of prime $z$-ideals of $C(Y)$ and the set of prime $z$-ideals of $C(X)$ not containing $f$. Moreover, c...
متن کاملExistence and non-existence of solutions for an elliptic system
We study the existence of positive solutions for a system of two elliptic equations of the form −∆u = a1(x)F1 (x, u, v) in Ω −∆v = a2(x)F2 (x, u, v) in Ω u = v = 0 on ∂Ω where Ω ⊂ RN (N ≥ 2) is a bounded domain in RN with a smooth boundary ∂Ω or Ω = RN (N ≥ 3). A non-existence result is obtained for radially symmetric solutions. Our proofs are based primarily on the sub and super-solution met...
متن کاملSupersymmetric Solutions Based on Y
We explicitly realize supersymmetric cones based on the five-dimensional Y p,q and L p,q,r Einstein–Sasaki spaces. We use them to construct supersymmetric type-IIB supergrav-ity solutions representing a stack of D3-and D5-branes as warped products of the six-dimensional cones and IR 1,3 .
